Characteristics of NAS HX

A solution strengthening nickel-base alloy, NAS HX (UNS N06002), comparable to Alloy X alloy, is powerful, providing strength and oxidation resistance in temperatures reaching as high as 1200Ž. With superior workability and weldability as well, it is excellent for use in gas turbine parts as well as various heating furnace parts.

Bendability

SAE AMS 5536 requires no cracking occurs in 180‹ bend test with radius 1.5t (t being the nominal thickness). A 180‹ bend test and close contact bend test were performed on a sheet of solution-treated NAS HX 1.5-mm thick, and no cracking occurred as shown in Figure 1.
